Monotheism is the scourge of humanity & earth. The most evil thing to have ever come up in a human mind. Its the driving force behind almost all genocides(except communist genocides) in world history for last 3000 years.
Unfortunately it was born in what is now Afghanistan then it infected the middle eastern tribes,further then even an Egyptian emperor.
The uncertainties of deserts of West Asia made its superstitious tribes a fast adherent to the 'One Jealous & Vengeful God'. And the spawning of three Abrahamics ensued & ensured glossed over and whitewashed blackest chapters of darkest unforgivable histories.
The mortal intimidation by monotheism to ordinary mortals & the obsession of humanity with it is the root cause of violence in world for last 3000+ years.
