I firmly believe in the history+geography mentioned in the veda~s and purANa~s. That's the complete and true picture. We tend to see India from the perspective of current times. If this continues and its continuing actually our next generation will essentially see Pak/BD as alien planets as most of us see Afghanistan/SriLanka today, forget Central Asia.

Our history and geography have to be correlated with our shAstra~s only. OIT & AIT both are colonial frames of references. For a brief overview brahmavaivartapurANa and shrImatbhAgvatpurANa are must read. No history is complete without them. Rest is puerile & motivated mythography.

Mehrgarh in Northeast Balochistan was archaeologically first excavated in 1976.
And to surprise of many its dates for Mesolithic human settlements went back to 7500 years old to 9000 years. Some artifacts were in fact 11000 years old.
Its our heritage & history though its now in a country which teaches its children that civilisation started only 1400 years ago.

The Mangalyaan success and why its not happening in other govt sectors.

Nothing could make us prouder than #ISRO's #Mangalyaan successfully entering Mars's orbit. Probably the greatest scientific achievement for us in 'modern' times.

#ISRO & its baby #Antrix would never have been successful if they would've been recruiting scientists & engineers based on the aptitude for buttering,yes-bossing,reduplicating & cut-copy-paste apart from candidates being parachuted into (other)scientific institutes. #ISRO thrives because they recruit workers who can work not those who pretend to. ISRO's autonomy is yet untampered with & its hugely successful because somehow politicians & babus as well as its own officials have not usurped it & its agenda.

For those who haven't yet got the point i would give an example of a faculty of AIIMS who has done medical graduation from some defunct ex USSR town; got MD from in-service quota(not open competition); did senior residency(not completed the term even) from a hospital which doesn't have any facility for treating patients under that speciality as well as not a single patient comes to that deptt. Effectively that person,officially a super specialist,is just plain quack.

P.S.- Is it a mere coincidence that Mangalyaan reached the orbit of Mars on Mangalvar just a day before Navratri? After all calculations must've been made couple of years beforehand.

The greatest amongst equals: gurjarapratihAra,who defended dharma & rAShTra for 4 centuries.

Was thinking/trying to write something about the most unsung yet one of the greatest(probably the greatest too..) empires of bhAratavarSha. But to write even volumes of literature,history & praise is like trying to show candlelight to the Sun ie the Great gurjara-pratihAra गुर्जर प्रतिहार (#GurjarPratihar) dynasty.

pratihAra literally means doorkeeper. And the most humble pratihAra were proud to use the epithet as for four centuries they kept the doors of bhAratavarSha guarded & defended against the Arabian Islamic(& later on Turkic) invaders. Whence, the Arab Islamic armies trounced upon & made vanish the eastern Roman & Persian empires in under four decades. If we look at the western extent of the pratihAra empire it roughly corresponds to the borders with Pakistan even today.

These glorious four hundred years have been blanked out of our history as if nothing happened. Nothing? When Islam conquered world from Atlantic coast to Persian coast & Central Asia to Caucasus to Central Africa in less than a century..but could not proceed beyond capturing sindhudesha for 400 years in our divine land defended by the very great & mighty pratihAra who worshipped AdivArAha as their deity. And true to their deity,the boar-incarnate viShNu, they saved mother earth from the mortal clutches of demons;but not once,many times over.

Greatest amongst the pratihAra emperors were nAgabhaTTa #Nagabhatta-I, #Nagabhatt-II and #Mihirbhoja.
We owe our existence,almost solely to the greatest amongst greats the gurjarapratihAra.

The twelve things which cost the BJP three successive bye-elections.

Whatsoever excuse or justification BJP might dish out the fact remains that BJP would have won the three bye-elections(in last 2 months) comprehensively without even campaigning if the Modi govt would've done these twelve fundamental & inescapable must-to-do things:

1] Put Sonia & her syndicate in Jail(hope none argues inane apologist legalities here).
2] Constitution amendment bill in joint session of Parliament for UCC enactment,& the repeal of art 370 in J&K.
3] Absolute ban on cow slaughter by ordinance then bill.
4] Showcause notices to respective states with central intervention on the incessant murders of BJP/RSS workers(Deafening silence was noticed here,cowardly!).
5] Respect for & listening to local cadre as well as social media.
6] Winning MPs should've kept in touch with their constituencies.
7] Removing all bureaucratic/judicial machinery and complete churning with appointing/absorbing nationalist officers/employees as new govt took over(its suicidal to continue with same old congressi+communist+jihadi+christian+crony capitalist system).
8] Not announcing an overdose of special schemes for Muslims/minorities.
9] Special considerations & help for the farmers(big+small) & labourers.
10] Generating/creating real employment for the youth(not FDI nonsense jhunjhuna, when for eg. lakhs of vacancies are unfilled in a single agency of railways itself!).
11] Screwing the anti national traitor media channels.
And last but not the least...
12] Modi Ji opening his mouth.

Not a single one of these (almost all of which formed part of BJP's election manifesto) was done/implemented/attempted.
Your core voters dumped you. Got it? Within a span of less than 4 months the hardcore nationalists are disillusioned with you as being just another political party..!

This is the harassed, pathetic & hapless condition of doctors in a 'developed first world country' like UK. Such worse that senior consultants are leaving medicine to become 'hair-stylists' to 'car designers',anything but a medical doctor.

In India its even far more worse: unimaginably  uglier and frighteningly scarier, only if someone wishes to look at the monster of the problem(s) in healthcare. UK has a health system,NHS, which is under the lens. India has no health system at all. In India ie bhArata, our barely-existent government/Public healthcare is collapsing/collapsed with even the new government having washed its hands completely off it. And already/rapidly taken over by profiteering ruthless corporates who're either having American progenitors or are their cheap imitations & spinoffs.

But since we're a third rate country without much career options doctors are forced to continue as doctors but of course without proper working conditions,safety,autonomy,dignity,salary,progress/promotions,assurance,family/social life and future; and many a times even continue without any job!

And I'm not talking here about the hordes of doctors trained from run-of-the-mill politicians/Mafia-run mushrooms of private medical colleges. Its the horrendous & pitiably sorry plight of the best of the best talent of doctors trained from even apex/premier government institutes.

All the while people/masses continue  ruminating blissfully unaware & ignorantly aggressive that medical doctors live in some elitist super-luxurious Elysium in the outer space.

P.S.- One aspect this article dared to justly explore & rightly criticise is overt reliance & blind following of 'guidelines' & 'evidence based medicine'. Which I am not against per se yet sincerely & firmly believe that these are basically for the brainless droids & programmed bots which are systematically being selected, entrenched & increased in medicine. These actually do not benefit the patients but even harming them due to idiotic blanket enforcement of zealous yet fearful caution over the judicious application of bold wisdom & experience with autonomous judgement case by case.
